The Michelin guide 2007 has conferred a third star to Anne-Sophie PIC which consecrate her excellent cooking. Also, aged 37 years, she receives the higher gastronomic prize and becomes the first lady French chef with 3 stars since “la Mère Brazier in 1933”. For the first time, three cooker’s generations have received three stars, after her grand-father André in 1934 and her father in 1973.
In 2007 “The bistrot 7” is opened by Anne-Sophie PIC. Mirroring the nationale 7, the route of yesterday’s gastronomads, this bistrot is on the way of modernity which blows on the Maison PIC, member of the chain Relais and Châteaux. End of 2007, Anne-Sophie PIC is opened her cooking school called “scook” to transfer her passion.
“Yet, when I was young, I was involved in the table affairs. Very early my father teached me the good taste, I have received in heritage this creative spirit which help me in my subtil associations in the pure produce spirit. My menus are composed with regional products live olive oil, little grey snail from Ardèche, the Drôme young guinea fowl, or the lamb of Remuzat without forgetting the truffle, the Saint Donat asparagus, the Nyons Olive, but also the Rhône Valley wines and the cheeses, the Rhône Valley fruits, chestnut, Grenoble walnut and to finish the Valrhôna chocolate. I use to go to the Saturday market to buy these local produces.
